Joanna Huszcza is regularly engaged as a soloist, orchestra leader and chamber musician; performing at various prestigious venues and festivals. Early on in her professional career, she was fortunate to have collaborated with some of the brightest and most inspiring personalities of the Early Music world, including Philippe Herreweghe, Ton Koopman, Enrico Gatti, Skip Sempe and Marco Beasley. This experience led her to search for her own answers and find her own style - particularly regarding the vocal aspect of violin playing and its application to instrumental music.
A native of Warsaw but currently based in Brussels, Joanna studied intensively with Enrico Gatti at Conservatories in The Hague and Milan, obtaining her Master's degree at the former. Immediately following her graduation, Joanna was invited by the Music Academy in Lodz, Poland, to teach its Baroque violin class.
She has recorded, in various contexts, for labels including Alpha, Glossa, Ramée, and Naïve.
