Gabriele Palomba graduated in lute with honors at the Civica Scuola di Musica of Milan under the guidance of Maestro Paul Beier.
He has attended master classes with Pat O'Brien, Chris Wilson, Anthony Bailes and J. Christensen.
He performs both as a soloist and a continuo player in Italy and abroad, playing in the most important European festivals and theaters, including La Scala in Milan, the San Carlo in Naples, the Teatro Nacional de Madrid, the Konzerthaus in Berlin.
He has worked with the Ensemble Galilei, Ensemble Concerto, La Venexiana, La Cappella della Pietà dei Turchini, La Risonanza, Ensemble Aurora and other Italian formations, tackling repertoire ranging from sixteenth-century madrigal sung to the Baroque.
He has recorded for Stradivarius, Glossa, Dynamic, Simphonia, Capriccio.
For the label "ELucevanleStelle Records" recorded with Emanuela Galli and Franco Pavan a major project related to Renaissance music for lute, which saw the publication of the works of G. A. Terzi, entitled "Liquide Perle" which was followed by the album "Languir me fault" presenting an overview on the production of the most important polyphonists of the early sixteenth century. (Both reported by the magazine Amadeus such as "CD of the month").
The work continued publishing - on the occasion of the fifth centenary of the Petrucci printing (2007) - a CD entirely devoted to the first release of Spinacino's music for lute.
As a soloist, Gabriele Palomba recorded in 2008 a monograph on Giovanni Maria da Crema (Book I ° 1546).
He has just completed a new recording dedicated to Albert De Rippe.
He has founded the ensemble " Sistite Sidera" together with the soprano Emanuela Galli and the harpsicordist Davide Pozzi. They recorded music of Domenico Gabrielli for the Stradivarius label.
